Character concepts - Miyuki

Long time since I posted anything! Sorry about that, life’s hard on a man. In order to make it harder to prevent my drawing skills from becoming completely rusty, I accepted a commission. Gotta draw a number of b&w character concepts that will be used as interior art in an anime-flavoured indie RPG.

For a start I picked what seemed to be the most difficult one for me (a fencer chick), and I’m pretty satisfied with how she turned out after ~3 hours in Inkscape. Well, I ain’t Mashima Hiro for sure, but I think you can tell I was reading a lot of his manga recently Nothing flashy or truly unique in the design, but don’t be too hard on me — remember that this is the first time I’m doing something like that.

So far the client’s happy, let’s see how it’s gonna go further. If all goes well, I’ll edit the comments to add the link when the book’s out.

PS: I have noooo idea why I named her Miyuki. I had to come up with a name when I was saving the file
